Context & colour specification
Observation and colour-matching studies at Nyhavn informed the palette. The local reference was translated into room identities within the wider HUONE language.
A meeting destination with a distinctly Nordic imagination.
A collection of themed meeting environments at Amager Strand, Copenhagen.
A meeting venue asks more of an interior than a conventional office. It needs spaces with different moods, a clear identity and room for groups to gather in different ways.
Lapland, Viking and Greenhouse are among the themes in the Copenhagen venue. In the Lapland interior, timber geometry and an atmospheric ceiling make the room itself part of the experience.
The project demonstrates a consistent approach to an international brief: understand the place first, then give each space an identity within the wider venue.

The hexagon motif from HUONE’s identity informs patterns, graphics and custom furniture. Individual room concepts sit within that shared system rather than relying on identical interiors.
For the wider HUONE programme, Edition 2 records lighting sourced from China and custom joinery and furniture produced in Malaysia, with European compliance requirements considered during specification.
Project decisions documented in DMZ company profile, Edition 2. Programme-wide methods and design studies are identified where applicable.
